The Apple Isle might be one of the colder corners of the country, but this winter the Tasmanian property market is proving to be quite hot.
It has long been home to the cheapest capital city with Hobart’s median house price sitting at $415,000 according to CoreLogic, however values are on the rise. Over the past 12 months house prices there have risen by 8.9 per cent, while Sydney has only seen a rise of 6.2 per cent during the same time frame.
But like the rest of the country there are budget buys and prestige prices. These are the 10 most clicked on homes in Tasmania over the past seven days.
112 SKEGGS AVE, WHITE BEACH
Sea Wedge estate sits on rugged coastline near White Beach 1.5 hours south east of Hobart near Port Arthur. The modern residence comprises 22ha of land with 200-degree panoramic views from Roaring Beach to Bruny Island and Mt Wellington.
Anne Boman of Knight Frank has listed the home for sale via private treaty with price expectations in the “high $2 millions to $3 million” bracket.
“It’s a stunning lifestyle property that has an amazing location. The views are exceptional and it was built to a very high standard, it has all the bells and whistles that you could want,” she said.

3-5 BILNEY ST, RICHMOND
Minutes from the heart of colonial Richmond, this modern barn-inspired property is a stark contrast to its old world neighbourhood.
